Dr. Akhilesh Tripathi, Ph.D. in Risk Management from BITS Pilani and EPGP from IIM Indore, is a distinguished banking professional and academician with over 37 years of industry experience and more than a decade in academia. Dr. Tripathi has held pivotal roles across the financial ecosystem, integrating regulatory, operational, and scholarly perspectives.
His career spans key domains of credit management, risk management, treasury operations, and forensic evaluation. His hands-on experience in Loan Appraisal, Risk-based Credit Decisions, Stressed Assets Management, MSME Rehabilitation is grounded in practical leadership as Chief Manager in Risk-Based Supervision, Assistant General Manager (Independent Risk Advisory) and General Manager in a rural bank sponsored by the State Bank of India.
In his academic capacity, he has worked as Adjunct Faculty with Central University of Rajasthan, Chief Programme Executive (Valuation) at Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) and as a Guest Faculty for several reputed institutions.
Dr. Tripathi is also a prolific researcher, with 16 published journal articles on operational risk, strategic restructuring mechanisms, off-balance sheet exposures etc. He has earned prestigious Research Fellowship in 2018 form Indian Institute of Banking & Finance (IIBF). He had been among the top 10 downloaded authors on the Social Science Research Network (SSRN) for the past four years.
He holds multiple certifications including CAIIB from Indian Institute of Banking and Finance, Qualified Independent Director from IICA, Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), USA and Registered Valuer (Securities & Financial Assets) certification from IBBI.
